Periodontal Disease - What is It?
Throat pain treatment in Tamil Nadu is often related to diseases of the upper respiratory system. Medicines like Arogya-Vardhini, Sharpunkha (Tephrosia purpurea), Kutki and Bhumiamalaki can also be used for strengthening of the immunity system of the body. Medicines like Maha-Manjishthadi-Qadha, Saarivadi-Churna, Guduchyadi-Qadha, Arogya-Vardhini, Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu are used to reduce pain in the jaws, lips and gums.
Medicines like Panchamrut-Parpati, Suvarna-Parpati, Suvarna-Malini-Vasant, Abhrak-Bhasma, Ras-Parpati and Suvarna-Sutshekhar-Ras are used to improve appetite and digestion. Medicines like Panchamrut-Bhasma, Suvarna-Sutshekhar-Ras and Suvarna-Malini-Vasant are used to treat neuralgic pains in the teeth and jaws. Medicines like Arogya-Vardhini, Sharpunkha (Tephrosia purpurea), Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Triphala (Three fruits), Nimba (Azadirachta indica) and Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa) can be given in low doses to prevent gingivitis. In order to prevent fungal growth on the oral cavity, medicines like Suvarna-Parpati, Abhrak-Bhasma, Suvarna-Malini-Vasant, Abhrak-Bhasma, Ras-Parpati and Suvarna-Sutshekhar-Ras are used. Herbal medicines which can be used for treating periodontal diseases include Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus), Patha ( Cissampelos pareira), Musta (Cyperus rotundus), Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa), Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Bhrungraj (Eclipta alba) and Bruhat-Vat-Chintamani.
